How to Join Wrexham glyndŵr Hockey Club
It is our intention to develop the club through our ever growing junior section, but we would also welcome players of all ages and abilities whether you interested in playing for the first team or just want to play and socialise lower down the club.
Should you have never played hockey before or are returning to play after a break and wish to renew your hopes and ambitions and are looking for a club environment in which to perfect your skills we hope to be able to meet your requirements.
To play for Wrexham glyndŵr Hockey Club you are required to complete a membership form and pay an annual membership fee.

Download our Membership Form and send it to the membership secretary
Download and complete our membership form and return it to us via E-Mail, in the case of boys and men send it to the vice chair of the men’s section and with girls and ladies to the vice chair of the ladies section remembering to take a soft copy for your own reference. On the membership form you will see type of membership and the fees. Should you prefer take a copy fill it in and bring it on a training night times of which you will find here

What happens after you join?
After you join you will be registered to train & play for the club. Coaches and Captains will discuss with you which team you will start with.
Why consider Joining Wrexham glyndŵr
As a large club we have many teams who can offer various standards of Hockey.
We have a two large hospitality venues one the Wrexham glyndŵr Students Guild which is set aside at the weekend for us to use as a clubhouse with a bar, disco surround sound together with a 100inch large screen DVD player and the other for more formal occasions the Terry Hands Studio a fully equipped conference centre with a foyer bar and many meeting rooms.
There are organised training sessions run by fully qualified coaches for players of all abilities.
We play our matches on a £1 million pound international standard floodlit pitch with another sand base floodlit pitch available should we so require.
We have a very varied age in our membership ranging from five to over seventy years of age which means we have teams covering youth to vintage.
We have a mixed side that is very sociable which plays mostly in the summer.
We have a wide range of social events covering live band nights to quiz competitions cumulating in an Awards Dinner at the end of the season.
glyndŵr along with the Welsh Hockey Union host domestic and European finals, also International matches so there is always a chance of seeing some of the best players in Wales, Great Britain and Europe performing on the pitch where you train from the comfort of the covered stands.
With weekly selection meeting your progress is always being assessed with regular feedback from coach’s captains and other club officials to ensure that you are helping to achieve not only the club goals but your own personal ones.
Should you not want to play, you can still get actively involved in the organisation and administration of the club.
We also on numerous occasions frequent the many Hockey Festivals that are held all over the country as well as Ireland and the Isle Of Man.
